Immersive canvas “Las postrimerías de Fernando III el Santo”
Stepping into a painting: Virgilio Mattoni's canvas turned into a virtual reality scene for the San Fernando exhibition.

For the temporary San Fernando exhibition, the Chapter wanted visitors to be able to place themselves inside “Las postrimerías de Fernando III el Santo”.
We developed a virtual reality experience for Meta Quest 3 based on the canvas: we extended the painted scene with artificial intelligence tools, created depth through layered composition, animation and 3D elements, and added voice-overs and interpretive 360° content on five items in the exhibition.
