Carmona Roman Baths and Seville Gate

Beneath Plaza Julián Besteiro, Carmona preserves the remains of Roman baths that visitors cannot interpret at a glance, and a Seville Gate that has changed shape in each period of the town’s history. The City Council wanted both sites to be understood on the spot.

We reconstructed the baths in 3D so they can be seen in augmented reality over the square and in a 3D viewer, and we recreated the Seville Gate in its Punic, Roman and Andalusi phases. With those scenes we produced a rendered video showing how the monument changed over the centuries. All the work is based on the existing archaeological documentation and was reviewed by the council’s technical staff.
